Attempt burglary - Heckenhurst Avenue

Good evening,

Over the weekend, we received a report of an attempt burglary from the week prior, on Heckenhurst Avenue, close to the junction of Brownside Road. 

On Saturday 15th August, at 7am, the victim left the home, and returned home on Sunday 16th. 

On their return, they found damage to the external gate and bi-folding doors, located at the rear of the property. It appears that the bi-fold doors have been prised open, however the suspects were thankfully unsuccessful, due to a secondary locking mechanism on the doors. 

If you have any CCTV in the area, please take a moment to have a look through the footage. If you have any footage or information that may be valuable to our investigation, please reply to this email. 

Please take this email as a reminder to ensure that all doors and windows are locked and secure, especially overnight, consider extra precautions such as patio door locks for suitable doors, and ensure all CCTV is in full working order (charged and plenty of storage left).
